“ Ribs plus burnt ends equal happy tummies. Drove from out hotel near the Kansas City airport and enjoyed the backroads. Adorable town, decorated for Christmas in November. Loved it, like a Hallmark movie. Onto the food. Platter for two plus the fried corn appetizer. Amazing. Way too much food, but we managed to make a dent and got two large rolls and the left over meat for lunch the next day along with some of the super BBQ sauce. Staff delightful and a super comfortable and casual dining experience. Forget downtown KC and take a drive to Smithville. ”

“ What a fun place. I love how its walls are decorated with barbecue trophies and drawings created by the restaurant's diners. Come hungry - the food is served filling portions. It's really good, too. I enjoyed my burnt ends sandwich. The ends were perfectly smoked - tender, full of flavor and enhanced with a small dab of Chops BBQ bold sauce. The onion rings were fried to perfection - piping hot and crunchy. ”

“ Wow - fantastic! Cute little place right on historic Main St. Friendly staff, and amazing BBQ! Started out with some spicy fried pickles, then a half rack of tender, fall off the bone ribs. Friends had pulled pork that they said was great, too. Add this place to your must stop list for some good eats outside the city! ”

“ I came into town to visit and was taken to this awesome BBQ place! The town is great but that's another story. It's a small place with great BBQ and sides. I had the brisket with mac and cheese and tator tots. Three of us got food and everyone loved what they ate. The owner and employees were great too. They are all very nice! Thank you! ”
